Welcome to online registration for Fine Arts. Registration is required in order to be considered for the 2017 Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts Show.

Important procedures for online registration!! Please carefully read the Fine Arts Rules and Regulations. It contains the complete rules for entry as well as the rest of your responsibilities as an exhibitor. By registering online, you are agreeing to abide by the rules and regulations of the Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts Competition.

Important Information:

  • Registration absolutely closes at 4:30 p.m., Monday, July 10.
  • Participation is open to all living residents of Minnesota. Each exhibitor is limited to one entry.
  • Any accepted work that the exhibitor chooses to list as FOR SALE will be sold, as displayed, through the Minnesota State Fair Foundation at a 20% commission. All accepted entries will remain on exhibit throughout the fair. Sale price includes frame, please price your work accordingly.
  • Due to IRS regulations, any exhibitor choosing to list their work as FOR SALE is required to include their Tax ID information (Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number) on their registration.
  • Artists must submit at least one, and up to three, digital images of a single work as part of their online registration for Phase 1.
  • Jurors will review the submitted digital images to determine which works will be delivered for Phase 2. All artists will be notified via email on July 17 or 18 as to whether or not their piece has been selected for Phase 2.
  • Phase 2 entries will be received at the Fine Arts Center on Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Phase 2 artists unable to deliver their entries on the dates listed above, may bring them from Wednesday, July 19 through Thursday, July 27, to the Competition Office, 1312 Cosgrove Street, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday for a $25 fee due upon delivery.
  • Phase 2 artists will be notified via email on August 2 or 3 as to whether or not their piece has been accepted.
  • Phase 2 non-accepted works released Saturday and Sunday, August 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Works must be picked up from the Fine Arts Center during those dates and times.
  • Accepted works released from the Fine Arts Center on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
